SONIYA SAANCHI, is a well established and most sought after name in the field of fashion designing. She is a perfect persona of an evolved fashion designer who is also a well-trained fashion artist. Designing comes to her naturally and she has an inborn inclination towards clothing designs. Since her childhood she was fascinated with designing outfits, and making patterns and combinations of her own dresses.

Her innate expertise and her increasing passion inspired by her creativity skills, drove her towards this field of designing and styling. These qualities have made her a top designer and today she has a patronage in large number from celebrities, models from the upper crest of the society. Although Soniya began her professional career as a banker, nothing could deter her interest, or approach towards her zeal for the fashion industry. It was then that she set up her own Saanchi Designer Studio in 2013.

Soniya's four successful years into an anchored retail counter and a growing demand for attires designed by her are a testimony to her creativity and authenticity of her skill. However, it was only when the idea of launching “ Pratishtha “ Collection to promote the legacy of Paithani sarees by designing traditional and Indo-Western attires struck her mind that Soniya could comprehend her true purpose of establishing herself in the industry.

Today Soniya has a growing line up of clients not just from India but from other countries as well. Soniya's designs are not merely from the business perspective! Being a feminist, she understands the importance of fashion for a woman. She senses the requirement & temperament of each of her clients and makes designs for them accordingly.

Soniya specializes in revisiting the past cultures and traditions, and redefining them, to bring them back to life in line with the contemporary fashion trends. Her recent collection of Summer Vibes, which she had launched in India Runway Fashion Week, Delhi is a great example of this which brings back the Lucknowi Chikankari work with a splendid blend of old Mukaish craft in an Indo western Style.

More than the aspect of fame or being a capitalist, the essence of her work lies in her passion which inspires her all along. She also strongly believes in contributing back to the society. Her dedication and commitment towards her work also includes recognising and acknowledging the skill of her craftsmen. She spends good time with her craftsmen and holds regular discussions about designing strategies. Whenever she hires any of the craftsmen for her brand, she ensures that their earnings are raised to a decent level for motivation and they see a growth in their career as well as in the designing skills.
